Tucked into the bushland, a Canadian-inspired log cabin stands as a remarkable expression of its owner’s vision and determination.

Hand-built from logs individually transported through the bush, this unique outbuilding features a central staircase, a loft and its own 12-volt solar system.

Full of ingenuity and character, it captures the patience and personal effort that have shaped Tumbledown over the years.

The cabin is presented as a character outbuilding and is not council-approved for visitor accommodation.

A Landscape Worth Protecting

The natural environment is central to Tumbledown’s identity.

The owner reports over 800 identified species of plants and other organisms, reflecting years of observation and discovery. Granite outcrops, gnammas (natural rock pools) and native bushland create a varied landscape, rewarding those who take the time to look closely.

A mapped walking-track network of approximately 15 kilometres winds through the property and extends into neighbouring land, connecting quiet bushland pockets with magnificent outlooks. Access to sections on neighbouring land is subject to the relevant landowners’ permission.

The property includes land protected as Tumbledown Nature Refuge under a conservation agreement. These protections preserve its ecological value and place restrictions on development and land use within the protected area.
